I'm also passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: spirituality, writing, creativity, art, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, food and travel, just to name a few.
I believe our passions are what make us who we are and you can never have too many.
I've lost 245 pounds (seriously, check out my before and after), struggled with relationships, struggled financially. I’ve raised 6 boys and an ex-husband, worked in small companies, and corporate America. I've been everything from a bus driver, a psychic, a nail technician, a massage therapist, and many other things in between. I’ve even owned a fish store.
So after many attempts to fit into the corporate box this world provides us, I realized that my unusual set of skills were a gift, not a liability.
I gave up the security of a 9-5 and slowly began building my businesses intuitively from the ground up. I worked third shift jobs and did anything I could to support my family while I was pursuing my passions. I now own several companies including Soulful Journey, a Spiritual Wellness Center in Minnesota, I own a food truck, I'm an author and public speaker and I have a unique perspective on what it takes to find your passions and your joy.
When I’m not teaching classes, doing intuitive sessions, working the food truck, leading conferences across the globe or taking pictures of my two adorable dogs (@mabesandrado on Instagram), I’m probably planning my next creative project.
I don't pretend to have all the answers, I make mistakes. I have shitty days, and yes, sometimes I may drop some adult language. I get caught up in my own fears and doubts just like the rest of the world.
But my commitment is, to be brutally honest, and bring you the very best of what I am learning and living in this amazing life. Don't expect me to be perfectly polished (because I will never be), but what you can expect is thought-provoking ideas and inspiration, true stories with real moments and an unwavering devotion to help.
If you've read this far, thank you. I think we've become an impatient society as a whole, and those that are willing to take the moments are the happiest. I hope this is just the beginning of our relationship, and I'd love to learn more about you. The best way to share & stay connected is by becoming a Soulaire Insider- just enter your name and email at the bottom of this page.
As you may know, although I run a digital company- I spend as much time as possible unplugged from the internet as humanly possible. I strongly dislike social media and I have many talented and techno-savvy people that help do that part for me :)
I'm a strong believer that things happen for a reason, so there must be some reason our paths have crossed. Thank you for taking the time to visit, and I'm thrilled for our journey ahead.
I'm so glad you're here.
(And in case you were wondering,
I really like giraffes)
Welcome to the world of life.
We live in a world that has dictated who we are, what we think, who we become.
My job is to help you unravel all of it and become the best version of yourself.
A born and raised corn-fed Minnesotan, with nothing more than a passion for helping people, and a big voice, I'm proud to say that I've created multiple businesses that touch thousands of people.
For as long as I can remember, I've been curious about what truly brings people genuine joy, what creates that fulfillment that we're all searching for? Why do some people go down the road of stupid, and others go down the road of wisdom and learn from other people's mistakes?
I'M FREQUENTLY ASKED,
"WHAT MAKES YOU AN EXPERT?"
Life has made me an expert.
I have done stupid, lived stupid and trust me, I've run the gamut.
I did go to college, I have degrees, but I think my real area of expertise, was learning how to really love again. It wasn't falling in love with someone else, it was falling in love with myself.
