I used to be a stupid person, I made bad choices. I really want to help people, reduce the amount of years it takes to get a little wiser. You don't have to take 48 years to get there.

I'm also passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: spirituality, writing, creativity, art, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, food and travel, just to name a few. 

I believe our passions are what make us who we are and you can never have too many. 

I've lost 245 pounds (seriously, check out my before and after), struggled with relationships, struggled financially. I’ve raised 6 boys and an ex-husband, worked in small companies, and corporate America. I've been everything from a bus driver, a massage therapist, a call center trainer and manager, a corporate manager for many years, a certified LAN technician, and built computers with many other things in between. I’ve even owned a fish store. People ask how I could have done all of these things. I don't go by the day, year or month; I go by the moment.

So after many attempts to fit into the corporate box this world provides us, I realized that my unusual set of skills were a gift, not a liability. 

I gave up the security of a 9-5 and slowly began building my businesses intuitively from the ground up. I worked third shift jobs and did anything I could to support my family while I was pursuing my passions. I now own several companies, I'm an author and public speaker, and I have a unique perspective on what it takes to find your true passions and your joy.

When I’m not teaching classes, working the food truck, leading conferences across the globe, volunteering and directing a non-profit, or taking pictures of my two adorable dogs (@mabesandrado on Instagram), I’m probably planning my next creative project.
